Mural Unveiling / Scarlet Day of Service

  • Deiner Park George Street New Brunswick, NJ United States (map)

Join us for the unveiling of the new coLAB Arts mural, "Convergence Point", created by local New Brunswick artist Ingrid Morales and commissioned by Rutgers University to cap off Rutgers University's 250th anniversary celebration. The mural was created in response to President Barack Obama's university address at the 2016 School of Arts and Sciences graduation, stating that "America converges here."

The unveiling is also a part of the university's larger community service initiative, Scarlet Day of Service, and will be hosting a tabling event for New Brunswick's local nonprofit organizations.

The mural and event will be hosted on Saturday, 9/23 at 9:30am in Deiner Park, just below the Rutgers River Dorms off of George Street. The first 1000 attendees will receive a free tote bag featuring a sketch of part of the mural, created by Ingrid Morales.
