Artists on our education team possess a wide range of creative skills across the artistic disciplines, including theater, music, dance, film, digital and multimedia. We position our network of artists in educational settings to facilitate the creation of socially engaged art. Students are active participants and contributors in both studio work and large scale public art installations.

Advocacy

Culturally responsive teaching recognizes that the lived experiences of students and their curiosity about their own culture & the cultures of others is an incredible asset in the classroom. We start each residency by aligning quality artistic technique with a research and themes based approach across the arts, humanities, and sciences.

Community

Culturally conscious curiosity of both individual and community identities is essential to the creative process. Education programs are built around specific community needs and a deliberative facilitation process that engages community stories in order to build greater empathy and cooperation between the individual and the community.
