Join coLAB Arts, New Brunswick Tomorrow/Esperanza, and the French Street Business District for a guided walking tour through the vibrant Esperanza and French Street neighborhood—where public art, local food, and community stories come together.
On the Taco & Mural Tour, you’ll visit approximately five to six murals throughout the neighborhood, learning about the artists, the stories and themes behind each work, and the community members and organizations who helped bring them to life.
And, of course, there will be tacos.
There will be three tours during the day, you must buy tickets for a specific time as there is only a limited amount of people that can attend each tour. Your “ticket” will be your receipt you receive in your email.
The experience combines:
A guided walking tour of public murals in and around the Esperanza/French Street neighborhood.
Stops at participating local restaurants.
Small food tastings at each stop—potentially a drink and taco at the first location, different tacos or food items at later locations, and dessert at the end.
Stories about each mural’s artist, location, themes, community engagement process, and partner organizations.
Collectible mural cards distributed as part of the experience.
