Join us for our second annual Mission Day, a celebration of the people, partnerships, and creative labor that drives coLAB Arts’ mission. This year’s theme, “Labor of Love,” honors the individuals, organizations, and communities who directly engage in supporting workers’ rights, organizing, and storytelling in New Jersey. // Acompáñenos en nuestro segundo Día de la Misión anual, una celebración de las personas, las colaboraciones y el trabajo creativo que impulsan la misión de coLAB Arts. El tema de este año, "Labor de amor", honra a los individuos, organizaciones y comunidades que apoyan directamente los derechos de los trabajadores, la organización comunitaria y la narración de historias en New Jersey.

We’ll be reflecting on our past year’s work with New Jersey Monuments to Migration and Labor, a collaboration with Rutgers University and funded by the Mellon Foundation that will be leading to the creation of three new monuments in North, Central, and South Jersey in 2026. Our New Brunswick facilitation and organizing partners have included New Brunswick Tomorrow, Unity Square, and Caritas of Holy Family Parish. // Reflexionaremos sobre nuestro trabajo del año pasado con New Jersey Monuments to Migration and Labor, una colaboración con la Universidad de Rutgers y financiada por Mellon Foundation que conducirá a la creación de tres nuevos monumentos en el norte, centro y sur de New Jersey en 2026. The Maevonia Caldwell Community Conversation, named in honor of the late coLAB Arts board member and community leader, will feature a keynote presentation by Anna Barcy and other organizers of New Jersey-based workers’ rights organization New Labor. The program will include a panel discussion with collaborating artists directly responding to this work, and performances. // La Conversación Comunitaria Maevonia Caldwell, nombrada en honor a la fenecida miembro de la junta directiva de coLAB Arts y líder comunitaria, contará con una presentación magistral a cargo de Anna Barcy y otros organizadores de New Labor, una organización de derechos laborales con sede en New Jersey. El programa incluirá un panel de discusión con artistas colaboradores que responderán directamente a este trabajo, así como presentaciones artísticas.
