Education Activity Archive
This page is a resource for educators and artists who have participated in a coLAB Arts professional development series. On this page you will find a visual archive of socially engaged art projects and creative interventions developed and facilitated by coLAB Arts Education. For each project, you will see a student made visual example, a list of materials needed, and requirements for successfully completing the activity.
Identity
These activities require participants to examine their identity- i.e. qualities, beliefs, personality traits, appearance, interests, etc.
Social Emotional Learning
These activities allow participants to analyze their self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
ARTS
These activities facilitate the making of socially engaged art in different artistic mediums.
HUmanities
These activities utilize Oral History and grounded research inclusive of the perspectives and lived experiences of voices traditionally left out of history textbooks to facilitate the participant’s ability to understand and empathize with human needs and problems.
sciences
These activities deepen the participant's understanding of the nature and structures around them through lessons in environmental science and city planning with a concentration on environmental health.
