New Brunswick’s favorite Story Slam returns with a night of fierce love, complicated legacies, and the many forms of motherly power. Join us for theVOM: Mother is Mothering, an evening of true stories told live, off the cuff, and straight from the heart.
Everyone has been shaped by someone who carries the Mother energy. Maybe it was a parent, a grandmother, an older sibling, a mentor, a chosen family member, or someone who stepped in when you needed guidance most. Inspired by“mother is mothering,” this month’s theme celebrates the people who nurture, guide, protect, and sometimes challenge us in ways only a true matriarch can.
From tender moments of care to complicated family dynamics, from hilarious memories to stories of resilience and growth, storytellers will share 5–7 minute true stories about the people in their lives who embodied that unforgettable “mother” energy.
Expect honesty. Expect humor. Expect soft but strong coven to be in house.
Because the people who mother us—however that looks—leave stories worth telling.
