On August 20, 2025, over 100 community members gathered outside the New Brunswick Municipal Courthouse to protest the police killing of 68-year-old Deborah Terrell. Friends, family, and activists remembered her kindness, condemned the violent police response to her mental health crisis, and demanded accountability, including firing the officers and creating a police review board.
